Another day in the Eocene

Let's go back 50 million years to the Tertiary Period, after the fall of the Dinosaurs, it's the Eocene Epoch in North America where we meet a couple intriguing animals out for their morning forage. Weighing in at nearly 9000 pounds, this large beast with the knobs on his head is from the order Dinocerata; the "Eobasileus", which I drew a bit hairier than he is normally depicted. Those knobs on his head are similar to the ossicones found on a Giraffe's head which caused me to specualte that this beast may have had more hair depending on the part of the world it was in. Climbing along the log with the ringed tail we have a raccoon / lemur like mammal named Chriacus, which is Greek for "useful".
